Lip Sync Battle: Emo Edition

Break out the eyeliner, dust off your studded belts, and prepare your most dramatic hair flips because it’s time to channel your inner emo icon! Swamp Rat Experience is teaming up with Tavern on Main to bring you a night of angst and eyeliner that is absolutely not a phase, mom! Hosted by the incomparable Steph Link, expect soaring ballads of heartbreak, synchronized mic‑stand drops, and maybe even a single tear rolling down someone’s cheek (perfectly timed, of course).

Want to Perform?

Start practicing your most dramatic lip quivers and perfecting that “I’m not okay” stare, registration is now open: Performer Registration

• You can register as an individual or as a group.

• Participants must be 18 or older.

• Each performer or group prepares three different songs to lip sync to, and props and costumes are encouraged. The aim is to have fun!

• The contest has three rounds with judges voting to eliminate performers between rounds. Some acts may perform only one or two of their prepared numbers.

• Registration fee: $25 per performer or group, payable by e-transfer to swampratexperience@gmail.com by October 8, 2025.
