BIRDHOUSE COMEDY TROUPE

Your monthly laugh is here! Join our free Birdhouse Comedy Troupe improv meet-up, happening on the last Sunday of the month. We learn and play improv games, have fun creating characters, and get to know each other. No experience or registration required, simply show up and have some fun! This is an 18+ troupe.

FINDING KING STREET THEATRE

King Street Theatre is located inside Fort McMurray Composite High School (9803 King St). When facing the building, look to the right of the main entrance where you will see an open gate. Enter through these gates and make your way toward the end of the lot. The theatre door has a Swamp Rat sign on it.

ABOUT JENNA HUBER

Jenna has called Fort McMurray home for 12 years and in that time she has worn many hats, but her favorites have always been the ones that came with an audience. Born and raised in Alberta, steeped in sarcasm and quick wit, Jenna is no stranger to the various stages in town. From paint nites and karaoke, to theatre and stand-up comedy, she is always working on a performance - but enjoys connecting with other performers most of all. Finding an opportunity for that is easier said than done, and as a classic extrovert with a brain that can't sit still, Jenna decided to make it happen herself, and began looking for a collaborative environment to incubate her Big Idea™️.

The idea? A home grown variety show with sketch comedy, standup monologues, musical guests, and “celebrity” hosts. Think a little SNL, a little Muppet Show and a LOT of local talent!

Jenna is so excited to work WITH other performers, bringing her variety show dreams to life while building connections in the creative community.
